Imagine the UK leadership team preparing for a portfolio review. The leasing numbers are available, occupancy has been updated and the latest assumptions for valuation and business planning are on the table. The numbers matter, but they only tell part of the story. Your role is to understand what sits behind them and what the business should pay attention to next.

About the role
As Portfolio Performance Analyst, you help Kadans understand how the UK portfolio is performing and where there are opportunities to improve. You bring together portfolio performance, leasing insight, valuation support, business planning and commercial analysis.
This is not a traditional asset management role, nor is it a pure reporting role. You will work closely with Leasing, Asset Management, Development, Property Management and Finance to turn portfolio data into practical input for commercial decision-making.

What you will be working on
In practice, this means you will:

• analyse asset and portfolio-level performance across income, occupancy, leasing activity and commercial metrics;
• support strategic portfolio reviews, business planning processes and governance forums;
• identify commercial trends, risks and opportunities across the UK portfolio;
• develop dashboards and reporting tools that give the business clearer insight;
• support leasing analysis, valuation work, lender reporting and refinancing preparation;
• improve the consistency and quality of portfolio data, including work with Yardi and CRM platforms;
• support investment, development and business case analysis where needed.
• You will work close to several teams, different perspectives and decisions that influence how the UK portfolio develops.

As the UK platform continues to grow, there is a growing need for clear insight into how our assets are performing, where opportunities are emerging and where potential risks may sit. This role helps the business report, review and act on portfolio information in a more structured way.

What we are looking for?

You are analytical, commercially curious and interested in how real estate platforms create long-term value. You enjoy working with data, but you do not stop at producing reports. You want to understand what is happening, why it matters and what the business should do next.

You are likely to have a relevant degree or qualification in real estate, finance, economics, business, surveying or a similar field. More important than the exact subject is the way you combine commercial real estate knowledge with analytical ability and an interest in portfolio performance.

You are likely to have around 3 to 5 years’ experience in one or more of the following areas:

• institutional real estate;
• portfolio management;
• asset management analytics;
• valuation;
• investment;
• commercial real estate strategy;
• real estate finance or reporting.

You probably recognise yourself in the following:

• analytical ability and attention to detail;
• understanding of commercial real estate;
• interest in operational real estate and portfolio performance;
• experience translating data into practical commercial insight;
• confidence working with different stakeholders;
• clear and concise communication style;
• collaborative, pragmatic and low-ego approach.

MRICS qualification, or progress towards it, would be beneficial but is not essential. Experience in life sciences, innovation real estate or complex operational real estate would also be valuable, but is not required.
