Who do we look for?
Due to the formation of a new leasing team, we are looking for a Leasing Manager. In this role, you will work on new lettings in our portfolio and larger strategic re-lettings with existing tenants. In this new role you assist the Head of Leasing UK with their respective portfolio and to take responsibility for their own transactions to maximising revenue, ensuring we are minimising void periods.

The portfolio of Kadans is UK wide from Canary Wharf, Kings Cross to Glasgow. And other locations include Manchester, Cambridge, Oxford, and Stevenage. The portfolio is a mixture of yielding and development projects. The projects are at various stages from preplanning, preconstruction, construction and close to PC. As a Leasing Manager you are based in London, but the role is open to candidates basing themselves in London and Manchester.

As a Leasing Manager:

  • You will be responsible for managing our property portfolio and ensuring we are maximizing income.
  • You are totally at home networking and approaching tenants.
  • Make sure our buildings and facilities are in good condition and that our tenants are happy.
  • Work with our commercial department to attract new tenants and develop the ecosystem on our campuses.
  • Are you aware of the latest trends in the real estate sector and translate them into concrete actions.
  • Do you have a strong commercial attitude and are able to close deals.
  • Naturally, we are mainly looking for a Leasing Manager who fits us perfectly in terms of character, motivation, and vision. 


In addition, our ideal candidate is likely to be:

  • Excellent with written and verbal communication skills required for negotiations and relationship management with tenants.
  • Someone with strong organisational skills required for lease administration tasks, including managing tenant files, maintaining lease due dates and preparing lease documents.
  • Someone with previous experience in a customer-facing role, such as sales or customer service, is highly desirable.
  • Someone with demonstrable experience in real estate, preferably in the commercial or office sector.
  • Someone with knowledge of the Life Science industry is a plus but not required.
  • Someone with a valid driving licence and willingness to travel nationally and internationally are essential.
  • Someone with MRICS certification is desirable but not required.

With whom and for whom do you work?
It is an exciting time to join the Kadans business in the UK.  We have a strong development pipeline of properties in development as well as a properties already completed and operationally active. The Leasing team are in-house specialists who are focused on taking our vacant accommodation to market, attracting new occupiers to the portfolio as well as expanding existing tenants. This will be within the leasing team which sits in the wider Commercial Team. The team is responsible for driving income and increasing investment value. We work with our internal Development team to ensure our facilities are best-in-class products as well as the Property & Asset Management ensuring we always exceed our customer’s service expectations and requests are met from incoming tenants. 

We construct commercially attractive and diverse transactions with our tenants to ensure we are supporting these innovative businesses. We deliver full turnkey transactions with a large number of customers and will relaise tenant specific requirements.

What do you do during a workday?

  • Prepare marketing collateral and develop marketing strategy.
  • Liaise with external agents appointed on listings.
  • Ensure the business is aware and up to date on recent market transactions.
  • Respond and collate enquiries on interest schedules.
  • Conduct viewings and follow up on any interest.
  • Attend regular meetings with the wider Asset Management team on Lettings strategy.
  • Negotiate, prepare offers, and progress transactions from start to finish.
