Together with internal teams, stakeholders, external suppliers, and customers, you develop unique concepts and execute them seamlessly. You ensure that every event is promoted effectively and reflects our unique corporate identity, right down to the last detail. 

 
Kadans is growing and it's an exciting time to join us as our Events & Marketing Coordinator. We are looking for a highly motivated events and marketing professional to join our team. You will play a key role in managing events, fostering community, strengthening our presence in strategic markets and boosting the visibility and reputation of our brand. We are looking for an enthusiastic professional with a proven track record in event management, marketing, and communications, preferably within the real estate or life sciences sector.

About the role 

  • You will be responsible for seamlessly planning, organising, and executing a range of events across UK locations including workshops, community lunches, expos, milestone celebrations and company parties. 
  • You will develop and oversee marketing plans for events, including promotional materials, advertising, and internal communication schedules, ensuring cohesive messaging and maximum engagement. 
  • You will work closely with colleagues and external partners including our Marketing team and Stakeholder Managers to ensure events are organised and promoted in line with our Kadans tone of voice and brand. 
  • You will closely manage the event budget, select chosen suppliers, and ensure that the best value is achieved from each event, in line with the business strategy. 
  • You will be organised, keeping track of and communicating our events and activities within our local and European events calendar. This includes scheduling in timely communications both internally and externally. 
  • You will arrange all logistical aspects of events, including venue booking, event marketing and communication, guest lists, suppliers, and budget management. Ensuring all key internal and stakeholders are informed and aligned with the plans. 
  • You will build and maintain strong relationships with colleagues, stakeholders, partners, agencies, and media to maximise company visibility. 
  • You evaluate the effectiveness of events, gather market insights and regularly back to the Senior Leadership Team on the events calendar, events requests, and post-event evaluations. 

Where will you work? 
Kadans Science Partner develops and invests in commercial real estate, focusing on knowledge-intensive companies and institutions on campuses. These include multi-tenant office buildings with vibrant communities, as well as lab spaces, clean rooms, and pilot plants. More than 500 innovation-driven organisations rent real estate with us - from offices to lab spaces - across 25 Science clusters in six countries. As such, we facilitate the vanguard of international research in life & health sciences and technical & IT sciences 
 
Kadans' portfolio consists of laboratory facilities, including cleanrooms, research facilities, pilot plants and more traditional office space. Kadans realises these facilities for R&D departments of knowledge institutions, educational institutions, and knowledge-intensive companies in sectors such as life sciences, healthcare, biotechnology, and high-tech industries.

Kadans owns and manages multiple assets in the UK, including Merlin Place & Babraham Research Campus (Cambridge), Abingdon Science Park (Oxford), London Innovation Centre (Canary Wharf), four assets in King's Cross (London), Upper Brook Street (Manchester), Sycamore House (Stevenage), West of Scotland Science Park & Health Innovation Hub (Glasgow) and is in advanced discussions to significantly expand its position in the UK with new developments and acquisitions. As part of the Kadans UK portfolio, we have our latest joint venture with Canary Wharf Group, where we will build the largest multi-let Life Science building in Europe. Kadans is a pan-European platform with an initial focus on the Netherlands, Germany, Belgium, Spain, France, Belgium, and the UK. Kadans' portfolio comprises 69 properties in 27 campus locations, serving more than 450+ tenants. The position will be based at our UK headquarters in Canary Wharf, will involve some travel to our UK locations and occasional early morning and/or evening work.

What do we ask of you?

  • You are passionate about delivering vibrant events and bringing people together, eager to make a significant contribution to the success of our organisation. 
  • You have at least 2-4 years of relevant work experience 
  • You can manage complex projects, meet tight deadlines, communicate effectively, and remained organised in a dynamic environment. 
  • You are professional, with excellent time management skills and have a keen eye for detail. 
  • You have excellent grammar, spelling, and punctuation skills, with the ability to align with our brand and tone of voice, producing compelling marketing materials and briefs of the events you are planning for internal and external audiences. 
  • You effortlessly build and maintain strong relationships with colleagues, customers, stakeholders and suppliers thanks to your excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. 
  • You are creative, thinking creatively with the way you approach event planning, management, community engagement and event marketing. 
  • You are proficient in MS Office, event management software and have knowledge of CRM tools such as Microsoft Dynamics, Mail Chimp and Active Campaign. You are willing to work flexibly, including evenings and travelling as required. 
  • Experience in the Life Science or Real Estate sector is a plus but not a requirement.
