As a Stakeholder Manager at Kadans Science Partner, you are more than just an organiser. You are a driven connector, a bridge builder between ideas and people. You will develop and implement a networking strategy that puts Kadans Science Partner on the map, making us visible to key players in the scientific community. Such as the Kadans Innovation Summit where you will have the opportunity to meet leading researchers, entrepreneurs and innovators from these science clusters pushing the boundaries of life sciences. Here, ideas are shared, and collaborations are fostered. You will build valuable relationships with stakeholders such as investors, brokers, government agencies, scientific institutes, and innovative startups. As Stakeholder Manager, you will establish contact with innovative companies and organisations and mediate between different parties to create valuable collaborations.

About the job

  • As a Stakeholder Manager at Kadans, you will develop and manage contacts with universities, hospitals, local governments, policy makers, local communities, campus management, incubators, venture capitalists and research organisations.
  • You will connect with innovation programmes, projects, and key stakeholders in the scientific ecosystem.
  • You will increase our tenant base by working with the Leasing team to develop sectoral prospecting strategies. You will generate leads and enquiries through your professional network. In doing so, you will work with the data analysis team to create targeted lists of potential tenants.
  • You will develop new ideas and opportunities to promote our brand and attract new tenants.
  • You support our existing tenants by offering sector expertise to onboard new tenants, you build strong relationships with tenants and understand their business needs, you facilitate access to external parties that can help tenants grow (VC, PE, Debt).
  • You work with internal teams to support tenants in organising events.
  • You represent Kadans Science Partner at events and conferences at national and international level. In doing so, you share knowledge about the Kadans Portfolio. You also determine themes and speakers for Kadans and contribute to Kadans's online and offline presence (blogs, comments on articles).

Kadans is the leading European developer, operator and asset manager of Science and Innovation sites with high expertise in real estate for knowledge-intensive industries. Kadans has a deep understanding of the requirements in our tenants' different research areas and the complexities involved.
 
Kadans' portfolio consists of laboratory facilities, including cleanrooms, research facilities, pilot plants and more traditional office space. Kadans realises these facilities for R&D departments of knowledge institutions, educational institutions, and knowledge-intensive companies in sectors such as life sciences, healthcare, biotechnology, and high-tech industries. Kadans is uniquely familiar with the needs of innovative organisations and knows how to translate them into high-quality and sustainable facilities. With optimal positioning of spaces, perfectly functional floor areas and the ideal layout and specifications of laboratories.

Kadans owns and manages multiple assets in the UK, including Merlin Place & Babraham Research Campus (Cambridge), Abingdon Science Park (Oxford), London Innovation Centre (Canary Wharf), four assets in King's Cross (London), Upper Brook Street (Manchester), Sycamore House (Stevenage), West of Scotland Science Park & Health Innovation Centre (Glasgow) and is in advanced discussions to significantly expand its position in the UK with new developments and acquisitions. We are a pan-European platform initially focused on the Netherlands, Germany, Belgium, Spain, France, Belgium, and the UK. Kadans' portfolio consists of 69 properties across 27 campus locations and serves more than 450+ tenants.

In this role, you will work closely with a multidisciplinary team and support the Leasing and Asset Management team in achieving their goals. Our goal? Leasing our properties to tenants who contribute to a sustainable and liveable world.

What do we ask of you?

  • Demonstrable experience in a similar position within the scientific ecosystem.
  • A true networker: You are naturally curious about the activities of tenants and stakeholders, with an eye for opportunities to connect parties.
  • Knowledge and experience of life sciences: You are aware of the current trends and developments in this sector.
  • Affinity with innovation ecosystems and innovation clusters: Experience with science parks and campuses is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills: Able to build relationships with tenants, stakeholders, and colleagues.
  • Ability to function both independently and as part of a team.
  • Commercial skills, proactivity, assertiveness, eagerness to learn, initiative and flexibility.
